June 2020: The Woven Tale Press has posted a Woman Sawn in Half interview conducted (pre-Covid and -Black Lives Matter demonstrations) by the wonderful poet and editor Sara London. Here is the WTP’s Poetry Central page.
March 2020: The anthology Choice Words: Writers on Abortion is out in the world! It’s edited by Annie Finch (Haymarket Books) and has a great line-up, including Katha Pollitt, Amy Tan, Gwendolyn Brooks, Daisy Fried, Margaret Atwood, Jean Valentine, Leslie Marmon Silko, and me!
I was interviewed by Rick Agran for his show Bon Mot (WGDR) on October 13, 2019. We had fun talking about Little Steel and BOX. My brother and sister-in-law John and Jan and my niece Rebecca put together a great playlist for the show, including John Hiatt’s “A Woman Sawed in Half” and songs that work for both labor unions and the condition of being sawn (“Which Side Are You On?” and more!). You can listen here:
The terrific lit mag Guesthouse has nominated my poem “On the Journey to Redeem the Long-necked Swan, You Must Carry a Stool for Your Weariness” for the 2019 Best of the Net anthology!
BOX is a finalist for the 2019 Vermont Book Award!
BOX has been awarded Silver by Foreword Review for the 2018 Indies Poetry Book of the Year!
BOX is on the wonderful poet (and prose writer) Maria Hummel’s Reading List! (Poetry Foundation)
